Production planning and control deals with the planning, control and monitoring of production. It generally consists of two parts:
Usually the goal of a software for production planning and production control is the realization of a goal, as for example short lead times or the adherence to dates. In many cases, production planning and control is now carried out using proprietary software – the production planning and control system or PPS – in order to implement the entire production process with computer support. Such a PPS takes over scheduling, capacity planning and quantity planning and also plans and monitors all operative processes in the production process.
FEKOR integrates all functions of production planning and control in one software. Due to the close cooperation between production planning and materials management, existing resources and capacities are always included.
The special feature in FEKOR in contrast to most other systems
is the pursuit of multiple goals. The plan is drawn up according to the two overriding corporate goals of adherence to schedules and cost optimization. There is not one schedule-optimized and one profit-optimized plan. The goal is not to shorten the lead time: your controller does not check the lead time, but costs and profits. FEKOR carries out internal comparative calculations in order to select the best sequence and exclude the worse alternatives.
The following areas of production planning and control are available at FEKOR
integrated into one system:
In addition, FEKOR can be extended by modules for numerous areas such as personnel planning, supply chain management, seasonal production or batch planning.
